Hello! Brain! I know you're there
Tuesday, January 27, 2009

I am a little amazed.

I thought I would be climbing the walls to start the actual writing.

I forgot.

Well, the circumstances moved my focus, rather. It was not a weekend where the creative thinking was aimed at writing. The Saturday flew away driving around looking for stuff and some shopping. On Sunday we were at a restaurant celebrating a relative that turned sixty-five. With two little kids. It went surprisingly well.

Monday, I just looked dumbfounded at the Final Draft icon on my desktop and wondered what would happen if I clicked on it.

No, it was not a hang-over, because I didn't drink.

It just felt like my brain hadn't got out of bed yet.

I know exactly what you mean! Through lack of sleep for me, I found it very difficult to get back into it - but a request from a producer forced me to rework 6 of my old short horror scripts in a day! I hadn't used my old copy of Final Draft in ages, as I prefer the newer CELTX and it was hard work getting back into it.

Luckily all I really needed to do was to check the structure, clean up some descriptions and update the formatting in places.

Wow, that sounds like a tough day.

I've been preparing for my rewriting for two months now, so it was some time ago that I started Final Draft.

But basicly I just think that I had had so much else on my mind lately.

Yep, you definitely need a clear head. Sometimes you can ease back into it. Other times it just doesn't happen. But it is good when it just flows.

I just wish I was more consistent and spent more time at it, rather than being sporadic.

Wake up brain! :)

Hope the cotton clears out of there soon for you!

Just wanted to thank you for commenting on my shirts. I appreciate the feedback!

I sleep about four hours a night and my favorite part of any day is when I'm between sleep and waking up.

My imagination feels supercharged.

I just realized I came to your blog last time because you were showcased on Blogger Buzz!

Lee: I try to write something every day. It really helps. Does not have to be a Nobel price winner.

2nd2nun: Glad if I could help you. You have a great eye for visuals. I'm sure your T-shirts will sell.

Robert: I prefer the time when I'm about to go to sleep. I love that twilight zone. Though IF I by any chance get a splendid idea it is unfortunatly gone in the morning.

Well, I can only wish that you have some foresight about the Blogger Buzz.

Yes I know that feeling too. Today I had such a day that my body was out of bed, but my brain was still in there, terrible feeling. I went to sleep this afternoon to unite brain with body and that helped a little
Have a great weekend Désirée!
